Mural Gallery FAQ'S
Yes, you can have either a nursery or a childrens room painted with a mural. This 3D image transforms an ordinary space into one filled with dreams and magic that will make your children's space an exciting and vibrant place for them to be. They can be filled with fantasy or be educational in design. Keep in mind that the entire room need not be done, it could just be an area around the bed or even a part of the wall or ceiling. The consultation is a FREE service and am happy to come to you if you are within a close distance to The Treasure Coast in Florida. If you are further away we can always do a "Skype" video conference or communicate through email. You can schedule your appointment when you are ready by using the contact page.
Each client is different and so the pricing is dependent on the size of the space being painted,
the degree of accessibility, the complexity or detail of the mural, the amount of time it may take to prepare and the actual amount of time
that it will take to paint your mural. All of the materials used are included in your price unless it is an area that requires scaffolding,
and of course your budget. The price can be as low as a few hundred dollars to well over a $1000 depending on the above criteria.
Guestimate pricing is as follows:
The cost of design, materials and labor are included in the price. The cost for scaffolding or lift, if needed, are not included.
One design sketch and two revision sketches are included in the price.
Additional sketches are $200 each.
There is a high detail surcharge of $5/sq.ft. if the mural contains lettering, figures and trompe l’oeil elements.
Pricing does not include travel expenses incurred outside a 60 mile radius.
A design fee of $500 is due prior to the first sketch. This sketch fee is applied toward the total cost of the mural. A 20% non-refundable deposit is due at least two weeks prior to start date of painting (this allows ordering of supplies and scheduling.) Full balance is due on the final day of completion.
Wonderful! Please send me an e-mail with a brief description of the project. It is very helpful if you can provide me with the dimensions of the wall or space and also have some ideas as to general theme or content of the mural. We will discuss your ideas and brainstorm on the major components of the mural. If you live close by, I will come out in person to take a look. It is helpful if you can e-mail me photos or architectural renderings of the space. You might want to gather some ideas from magazines or the internet to help you narrow down your choice, as well as pick out some colors that you envision in your mural. After giving you a written estimate of the project I will make up some sketches using your ideas and some of mine, that we will go over, for your approval. Please feel free to ask questions at our meeting as I want you and your family to be completely happy with your mural or Tromp L'oeil.
I typically paint for about 5 hours each day. I usually get started at about 9 am, unless you would like me to start later. You are welcome to watch the process unfold but I usually like to work uninterrupted to let the creative mind flow. At the end of each day, either in person or by phone in the evening, I like to hear your feedback on the progress to make sure I am on the right track.
It will save you money if you paint the wall the necessary base color beforehand, but I can also do that for you. Often I design the concept around the existing wall color and there is a small additional charge for wall preparation. I can paint on a rough texture surface, but it will affect the final look of the artwork, particularly if you want a smooth look or a high level of detail. In thoses cases, it is best to either do panels or re-plaster the wall to make it smooth.
For the base coat and larger areas of color I use Benjamin Moore Aura (Low VOC and self-priming) for interior or exterior projects, and Golden acrylics for all the pretty details. Mythic paint makes wonderful 100% non-toxic paints that I use upon request.
A 20% non-refundable deposit will be required before the job is started and the balance of the project is required upon completion.
Next, we nail down a timeframe for the work to be done and I put together a contract with the specific terms of the project defined. A 20% deposit is due one month before work begins. I begin on the mural designs once I receive the deposit. If you need the designs sooner, then we arrange a design deposit that is applied as a credit to the 20% deposit.
Raquelia's Artwork FAQ's
My artwork has been titled "Conceptual Surrealism," and I paint in oils. I’m also an illustrator, web and graphic designer. I've studied fine art and am finishing up my schooling for my Bacehlors degree in Web and Graphic design
In most cases the original oil painting is available but the ones that are sold are listed along with the title of the painting and you can read whether its for sale or not. If you would like to buy one or more pieces feel free to contact me with an offer and I will repond to you within 24 hours.
The cost of shipping is dependent on the size of the painting and the shipping address. I use UPS or FedEx depending on the destination. I ship national or International and the painting will be insured with UPS or FedEx in case anything should happen in transit. Please contact me directly about shipping charges as they do vary. This charge may be applied in a separate transaction from your painting purchase. I will hand deliver an original artwork that is within a reasonable distance from The Treasure coast to your area. Thanks so much!
A reproduction is usually less costly depending on the size, but even a very large reproduction is still less money than the original.
There is an Certificate of Authenticity for every print you order. The Certificate is shipped with the print.
Any size is possible with limitations depending on the size of the original artwork. For instance if the painting itself is 36 inches high and 25 inches wide you could not get a painting reproduction that is 36 inches wide and 25 inches high. The original paintings dimensions have to be kept in mind.

QB Leone Artwork FAQ's
QB Leone's artwork is classical in nature and has some stunning subject matter that was painted in oils and was ahead of its time in conception. Take a particular look at "The Survivors" or "Cain and Abel." QB painted in oils with a base of egg tempra in the old fashioned way of making pigments. Some of his originals were painted on his own canvas that was stretched and glued onto its frame. Others were painted on wood panels and are quite large such as "Moonlight Sonata" and "Cain and Abel." QB also painted in Acrylic, Pastels, Pen and Ink, Pencil with Sepia, Chalk and he also did some Sculpture work and Woodcutting. Those images will be posted in the near future.
Yes, but only a few of the originals are for sale. The ones listed are in the gallery along with the title.
QB's original artwork is dependant on the piece and you will have to contact me with an inquiry. Also the prices are not set in stone so feel free to make an offer.
Not every piece is available in a reproduction, but when viewing the pieces in the gallery, you will see after its title whether or not it is available as an original or as a reproduction.
Some of QB's artwork is quite large. For example the "Moonlight Sonata" is 2 panels that are each 8 ft by 5 ft. Take a look at the image by itself. The original of "Cain and Abel" is not available but reproductions in any size are. It is also the size of the "Moonlight Sonata," and can be reproduced in the same dimensions. Click here for images.
The original titled, "The Blues" is NOT available as the original, only in reproductions. When the painting was initially digitally reproduced, I had each musician separated so that you could purchase perhaps one or two musicians versus the whole painting. There is one reproduction that has been printed on canvas of the entire piece that is already framed in a light mahogany and its size is 5 ft x 6.5 ft and for sale at $700 dollars.
Yes I have several pieces of QB's that are already printed on paper and framed. These would be a pencil self portrait of QB and his landscape of "Trenton, New Jersey," among a few others. Feel free to contact me with your inquiries.
